1. What is the difference between Resistive, Capacitive and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Touch Technology?
In general, all 3 types of touch technology are doing the same thing, replacing the mouse functionality with an interactive touch on the screen.  However, there are some differences between the 3.

Resistive - is the most durable of touchscreens, providing unsurpassed performance and rapid response when activated by pressure with a finger, gloved hand, stylus or other objects. Impervious to environmental conditions such as liquid spills and humidity, these are the most contamination resistant touchscreens available. Resistive technology is widely used in point-of-sale, industrial and medical applications. 

Capacitive - is the general purpose touchscreen solution but is only activated by fingertip touch.  Good optical and wear properties are trademarks of capacitive touchscreens, which are widely used in gaming, kiosks and point-of-sale applications.

Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) - is the optical standard of touchscreens. Its pure glass construction provides superior optical performance and makes it the most scratch resistant technology available. Surface wave is widely used in kiosks, gaming and office automation applications.

2. How long will it take to get my new order(s)?

Our touch product orders are custom built to your exact specifications and requirements. The lead time for new orders placed is determined based upon component availability. The typical lead time for new orders with parts in stock is 5-7 business days from the time an order is placed.  You will receive email confirmation with in 24 hours with product ship date.  

3. If I choose the Next Day Shipping option, does that mean I will get my order the following day?
By selecting Next Day Shipping this determines what your delivery time will be once your product is finished in production.  See FAQ Question 2 for general lead time information.  

4. How do I set-up an RMA (Return Material Authorization) Number for my Touch product?
RMA's can be obtained by speaking with our technical staff about your product.  If it is determined a repair is needed your OWT Technican will issue a RMA and the necessary shipping instructions.  Please visit the "Warranty/Returns" Page for more info.

5. What warranty comes with my OWT Touch product?

All touch monitors have a standard Three Year Return-to-Depot (RTD) warranty.  Touch Panel PC's and POS Systems come standard with a One Year RTD Warranty and the option for a Three Year RTD Warranty is $199 per unit.

6. If my product is out of warranty, can I still get it repaired?

Yes, we do repair and service on products that are out of warranty.  Please contact a OWT Technican for a repair estimate.


7. Do you sell software and accessories for my touch product(s)?

Yes, we have access to over 75,000 software titles and peripherals for your touch product(s). Everything from mounting arms to virtual onscreen keyboard software,  Please visit our "Software/Accessories" Category page to view our top selling add-on items.  If you do not find the product you are looking for please contact a Sales Associate for a quote. 


8. What countries do you ship your products to?
Generally our shipments are in North America but we do ship our Touch Products world-wide.  Some countries may be restricted from shipment based on Export Compliance laws.  Please contact your Sales Associate for a shipping estimate outside the United States. 

9. How can I buy your products?

10. What type of payments do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards, check, wire transfer or for larger purchases we do have financing options available such as Lease or Net 30 day terms.  For shipments outside the United States, Credit Cards or Wire Transfers are the only available payment options.

11. What if I need a specific touch product or brand and didn't find it on your site?
